HASANLAR HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT (HEP)/DÜZCE
Hasanlar HEP was commissioned in May 1991. The power plant, acquired by Spon Energy from Batıçim along with the remaining 49-year operating rights, achieves the most efficient income by selling electricity on the daily market.
With an annual average electricity production of 30 M/kWh, Hasanlar HEP meets the electricity needs of approximately 20,000 households. This is equivalent to 15% of the annual energy consumption of homes in the entire Düzce province. Moreover, as an environmentally friendly energy plant, it contributes by reducing annual carbon emissions by 15,840 tons (equivalent to 25,268 trees per year) based on its production volume.
